The Dakota's Story

In developing the Dakota Roadhouse concept a great deal of thought went into which state truly represented the old western values. After having reviewed all the western states, the Dakotas without question win hands down.

The national monuments such as Mt. Rushmore, the location of the notorious Badlands, the historic gold rush towns of Deadwood and Boot Hill that still today represents what existed in the 1800's with western style saloons and old time gambling. The town of Deadwood is national historic landmark and the location of Boot Hill where Wild Bill Hickok and Calamity Jane lived and died. The largest sculpture in the world being completed of Crazy Horse also located in the legendary Black Hills. Last but not least, Sturgis, the town of 6,400 turns into the largest motorcycle event in the world. It draws over 600,000 riders each year for a period of a week.

In the end at Dakota's you will get a unique meal that stands out like the old cattle drives of the old west. The one thing that kept the cowboys happy was the "Old Chuck". How long the chuck wagon cook lived depended on how well he cooked. We feel the same at Dakota's. That is why we are going to bring you the freshest, highest quality of beef with our hand-cut steaks, to mouth-watering ribs, fresh baked breads, with all our side dishes made with the highest quality ingredients, ice-cold beer and friendly folks.
